台中以人本交通提升行人安全與交通品質，獲得各大獎項高度肯定。

去年，台中市不僅獲得內政部國土管理署「113年度道路養護管理暨人行環境無障礙考評」的優等獎肯定，同時，在道路環境基礎建設方面，也在蟬聯交通界奧斯卡獎「金路獎」五連霸。加上近日《經濟學人》報導，刊登於《自然城市》期刊的研究指出，台中市在全球超過1萬座人口50萬以上的城市中，步行便利性躍升前50強，更榮獲亞洲第四。這些肯定，皆展現台中市政府長年推動人本交通建設，進一步提升行人安全與交通品質的成果。

Taichung City has gained national and international recognition for its commitment to pedestrian safety and infrastructure development. In 2024, it received the National Land Management Agency,s Excellence Award for road maintenance and pedestrian accessibility, and its fifth consecutive Golden Way Award for superior road infrastructure improvements. A study in Nature Cities ranked Taichung among the world,s top 50 most walkable cities and fourth in Asia among cities with populations exceeding 500,000. These honors bear witness to its on-going dedication to human-centered transportation policies designed to enhance pedestrian safety and improve overall transportation quality.
以人本交通為理念，市府持續拓寬人行道、增設行人庇護島及無障礙設施規劃等，推動行人友善的交通政策。
With a commitment to human-centered transportation, the city continues to expand sidewalks, introduce pedestrian refuge islands, and implement barrier-free facilities to foster a more pedestrian-friendly environment.

全齡無礙
台中行人環境進化中

Taichung,s sidewalks are integrated with floral landscapes and decorative elements, creating soothing spaces for pedestrians to rest and relax.
安全的人行環境涉及範圍廣闊，必須要顧及孩童、銀髮族到身障者等各族群，在一般道路之外，也包含了學校、醫院、公園等公共場所，以及橋梁河堤等基礎設施，打造安全的路網，可以說是最複雜的市政工程之一。
其中，人車使用率最高的一般道路，是市府團隊長期努力改善的標的。改善方向包含了道路養護中的整潔、排水、損壞情形，以及人行環境是否舒適、安全、方便暢行，當然也沒有漏掉標線、號誌、自行車和行人動線的設計等諸多細節。
此次參與「113年度道路養護管理暨人行環境無障礙考評」勇奪人行環境考評第一名的路段，就涵蓋「南屯區豐樂公園街廓」及「東區LALAPORT街廓」周邊街廓，兩街廓串聯了公園、市場、停車場、火車站、捷運站、公車轉運站、政府機關及百貨公司等，是步行人口大量使用的重要場域，有著示範效應。
除了目前已完工的道路外，在針對未來改善計劃的「政策作為」項目——包含了道路養護、自治法令制定、及定期現況調查等，也獲得政策作為考評第二名的肯定，透過逐年有計劃的工程、增加無障礙通用設計，大幅改善台中市的人本交通環境。
盤點「113年度道路養護管理暨人行環境無障礙考評」，台中市共囊括7座大獎，除了榮獲總成績「優等」、人行環境考評第一名、政策作為考評第二名，也拿下進步獎，另有三位具貢獻里長亦獲獎，表現卓越，也顯示推動人本交通的成果備受肯定。

Ensuring a safe pedestrian environment is one of the most complex municipal infrastructure projects, given its vast scope and everyday significance. For years, the Taichung City Government has prioritized improving general roadways, which experience the highest usage, by maintaining clean surfaces, effective drainage, and prompt repairs. It also works to keep pedestrian areas comfortable, safe, and accessible through clear road markings, efficient traffic signals, and well-designed traffic routes for both pedestrians and cyclists.
In the 2024“Road Maintenance and Pedestrian Accessibility Assessment”by the National Land Management Agency, Taichung was recognized for its pedestrian improvements—especially in two busy areas: Feng-le Park in Nantun District and the LALAPORT shopping district in East District.
The city won seven major awards, including an overall“Excellence”rating, first in pedestrian environment improvements, second for effective policy implementation, and a special progress award. Three local neighborhood chiefs were also honored for their contributions.
條條道路都好行
金路獎五連霸
另一項喜事，則是台中市榮獲有交通界奧斯卡獎美名，且各縣市競爭激烈的「金路獎」公路路況維護及行人空間維護兩項績優，綜合評比更是六都類組「第一名」，創連續5年保持第一紀錄。有別於前述國土管理署的考評，交通部舉辦的金路獎，其評審方式是採「抽考」——亦即無法預知會考察哪一條道路，完全以平時的養護成果決勝負。
其中，「公路路況維護」項，受到抽考的路段為市道132線，西起大安區沿線串聯大甲區、外埔區至后里區止，為海線及山線的往來要道，沿途會經過大安海水浴場、大甲體育場、大甲鎮瀾宮、大甲車站、麗寶樂園、月眉糖廠、后里車站及多所學校等人潮聚集觀光旅遊景點；而在「行人空間維護」項的考核路段，則為豐原區中正路（台10線），路段內包含了熱鬧的廟東商圈，也是豐原區商家密集之地，是許多行人往來穿越的重要道路，故積極進行人行道的改善工程，例如，建置寬闊的人行道、路口植栽帶、設置完整的導盲設施等，也順利在本次的評選中收穫豐碩果實。
除此之外，橋梁養護的成果亦獲得肯定，不只在「縣市政府橋梁維護」中得到第一名，拿下連續獲得五年第一名的殊榮，也在內政部舉辦的橋梁評鑑榮護第一名，成績亮眼的同時，展現了市府致力把關橋梁安全的決心。
良好的道路環境不只是用路人受惠，更是城市之光！從世界冠軍車隊Red Bull選擇來台舉辦2024年亞洲唯一、台灣首度的「Red Bull Showrun Taichung賽車展演活動」，便說明了市府團隊平時努力養護道路的成果，活動不僅吸引了大批市民與賽車愛好者同歡，也增進了城市光榮感。
市府高度重視市民「行」的權利，並積極優先改善校園周邊。

人本交通需要長期的規劃，也需大量挹注經費，過往市府積極向中央爭取「前瞻基礎建設-提升道路品質計畫」、「永續提升人行安全計畫」、「校園周邊暨行車安全道路改善計畫」及「均衡城鄉村里道路改善計畫」等補助，其中在人行安全方面的計劃，更獲取核定24案的補助，取得總計畫經費高達5.46億元，為全台各縣市最高。
未來，這些經費將並落實到台中各個行政區，使得更多用路人受惠，打造更優良的人本交通環境，守護市民安全，實踐「富市台中，行人安全」願景。
Five-Time Winner of
Golden Way Award
Taichung City continues to lead in transportation infrastructure, winning the 2024 Golden Way Award for road maintenance and pedestrian space management. It has also topped comprehensive assessments among the nation,s six special municipalities for the fifth consecutive year, with its bridge maintenance earning top marks both locally and in national ratings by the Ministry of the Interior.
A well-maintained road network not only benefits road users but also enhances a city,s global image. This was evident when Red Bull selected Taichung to host the 2024 Red Bull Showrun—the only event of its kind in Asia and the first ever in Taiwan—underscoring the city government,s commitment to road maintenance and urban development. The event attracted large crowds of local residents and motorsport enthusiasts, further fostering a strong sense of civic pride.
To promote a pedestrian-friendly system, the Taichung City Government secured NT$546 million (approximately USD 17 million) in central subsidies—the highest among Taiwan,s municipalities—to improve pedestrian safety. These funds will be distributed across districts to benefit more road users, reinforcing the vision of a“Prosperous Taichung with Safe Walkways.”

Thanks to the high-quality surface of Shizheng Road, Taichung was selected to host the internationally renowned Red Bull Showrun, making it the first city in Taiwan and the only location in Asia to stage this prestigious motorsport event.
