請假大概是職場Email當中最常見的形式,雖然相較之下,用通訊軟體告知既省時又方便,但寄一封請假Email不僅可以作為日後核假程序的書面依據,也是對上司或主管的尊重。
錯誤範例

錯誤(1) Email主旨除了假別之外,寫上姓名及日期可以讓主管收件時快速得知請假人及請假的日期。
錯誤(2) 雖然有時候病假可能是當天的突發狀況,主管也通常會核准,但還是避免使用「命令式」的語氣,且應該寫明需要請假的日期及天數。
錯誤(3) 信件內必須陳述請假的理由,但不需要太詳盡,若能主動說明願意提供相關證明會更妥當。
錯誤(4) 信件最後可以感謝主管的體諒,但只有簡短的thank you會讓人覺得有些草率,另外也可禮貌性地為工作上帶來的不便而致歉。

除非是臨時狀況如病假,否則一般的假別通常需要事先取得主管准假,若請假天數較長,也建議事先協調他人代理職務,除了展現自己負責的態度,也可避免休假期間受到打擾。
